Hi I have an error with my V Tour. Can't show images. Tried to used either classic or default template, still can't see images uploaded. Wonder what's missing?

here is the message i get on the V tour screen:

java.lang.ClassFormatError: ptviewer (bad magic number)

you can try this property link and click on the vtour link

thanks in advance for your help

what version of Open-Realty are you using? What browser are you getting this error in?

I haven't tested this but.. I did look at your source and the images that you have uploaded to the virtual tour are not panoramic jpg virtual tour images they are standard images. I don't know for sure if this would cause a problem or not as I haven't tested it but with the error message of ClassFORMATError that may be the cause.

A panoramic jpg is going to be MUCH MUCH wider than it is tall. Standard images are only slightly wider than they are tall and thus it could be causing a problem with the ptviewer engine being able to properly apply its mathematic distortion to an image that isn't of the correct aspect ratio. Although, I haven't tested this so that may not be the case at all but to start with standard pictures are not going to display properly any way you look at it so might as well start there with finding some normal virtual tour images to test with.

using OR 2.3.4 and getting error in all browsers either on PC or MAC

does the ptviewer have to be called in the template?
I have modified a lot the main.html of the template to include featured agents and features properties; I think i forgot something but don't know what

I Have to say that you may be right
My clients are using normal jpg in the Vtour. I tried to upload normal jpg in the vTour of the default vertival-menu template, and I got the same error. I therefore conclude that its not a template issue, rather a img format issue (img not recognized)

do you have an appropriate img format I can test?

thanks

Nope.. that's not it.. I just tested a few sites with standard images without problems.

Have you recently upgraded your Open-realty from another version? If so did you get the latest templates as some of the things were seperated a bit and given their own template tags in the vtour template

I just went through all your source.. it looks like all the proper code is in place. Double check that all the latest files have been uploaded properly by uploading them again (the templates and the ptviewer.jar files)
