Due to the overwhelming requests by our users to provide them with enterprise grade support options for Open-Realty and in the interest of providing long term funding for the project; the Open-Realty team would like to announce that we have completed negotiations with Realtor.com for their acquisition of the project. Current developers have been retained by Realtor.com as the lead development team for Open-Realty and will also be joined by existing Realtor.com developers.
Effective at midnight tonight the Open-Realty license will be suspended and no new sites can be created using the existing license. The existing Open-Realty support forums will be shut down and redirected to the Realtor.com commercial support system for paying customers. The upcoming Open-Realty 2.5 release will be released under a new commercial license. The software will be available for commercial purchase and download near the end of the month. Single site licenses will cost $2,000 and there will be a developer license available for unlimited sites for $50,000. More details of this acquisition and the new licensing, pricing, and support will be made available shortly.
