I have just checked my database and noticed a lot of Temp entries such as Default_AS09904567Temp.

1) Is this Normal?
2) Do they take up much space?
3) do they slow the database down?
4) Can I delete them??

Be grateful for any advice on this

Feel free to delete them. Someone on here had the basic start of a file to run a cron job to delete them. But it wasn't a drop in solution. I would be interested in some info on deleting them with a cron.

Anyone have a drop in file to do this?

Will

Yup, it was me.. Here is the link to a fix, and an explanation as to why this occurs. The initial fix file is a drop-in fix, but if a site is *really* busy, a few of those 'tmp' tables can remain, the last post offers a solution that can be triggered by CRON or run manually via a browser.
