I've searched, I've looked, and I've found no definitive answers. I've talked to some people through PM, but I figure I'll open this one up.

How do I pull from the IDX and put it into Open Realty? I don't know anything about IDX, I'm not in the business of real estate. All I know is that it's available to us and my client wants to make it easier for them and pull from that. If you have any specific questions you need answered, I can get them for you.

Now, I don't want a framed solution (from some of the results I've seen), I want them to be entered directly into OR, as if we had done it ourselves, without us having to do a thing on our end. Photos, well, the photos we do upload to our MLS are of horrible quality anyways due to file size limitations, so I wouldn't care if the photos don't get uploaded, we could do that ourselves. All my client cares about is the data getting on the site without them having to enter it. They enter it once into the MLS, again for a local real estate site, and then they'd have to enter it a third time for their own site. They'd like to cut down on this greatly.

I've worked with this agency for years. My job has been to maintain the site... add listings, edit them, take them off, etc. As of July 15th, I won't be working here anymore and my workload will be thrown onto someone else, who is already pushed hard for time and energy. I've pushed to use OpenRealty in the past, even mocking up an almost complete site in an earlier 1.0 version, but I decided to hold off until 2.0 for a transition. I love OR and what it has to offer. Now the time is here. We'd like to get this done as fast as possible. The site design I can finalize in the next few weeks, but they won't want to go with it if they have to do all the work. This is why IDX integration is so important.

I'm looking for a straight answer: How is this possible? Any discussion or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much. :D

You would need to write a script to read from the IDX and map the data to the proper fields in the OR db. There is no out of the box solution available due to the different formats used by the different IDX providers.
