This could be done without an addon, but I had this as part of a bigger project and thought I would share! It creates a custom Page Not Found page that redirects to your homepage!
Update (10/5): Bug found, addon refers to original file throughout. Changed references to extras to page404. Commented out references to admin links and other links not used.
