    Default OR2 or OR1 & MySQL & CMS

I spent the better part of the middle of today searching all through these forums to find out if my questions had already been asked but couldn't find anything.

    1. My server is a shared IP with MySQL 3.23.58 with PHP ver 4.3.2. It appears that the Mambo/Joomla CMS Realty stuff only works with OR2. I was thinking about installing OR1 and Either Mambo or Joomla for the client but unfortunately, they would have two different logins, one for the CMS and one for OR. I am assuming I could set it up this way to make it work.

    2. The really stupid question I have is that I guess I cannot install MySQL 4.x to be used just for this client's domain, can I? I cannot get the server administrator to upgrade the MySQL on the server and I really want to start working with OR2.

Any suggestions (other than getting a different web host which I am contemplating for the OR clients anyway)...anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

    TIA...Judy

Switch host. Mysql 3.x is very old. We no longer support OR 1.x so I would not install that. Your only other good option is if your current host has a mysql 4 or 5 server that you can use..
