Default MLS search on Microsoft SQL database within OR 2.3.4

    Hi,

I just finished creating this website:

    http://www.hopemcdermottre.com

    using OR 2.3.4.

The owner would now like to integrate the website more closely with her MLS service ( provided by MLSPIN in Massachusetts-- www.mlspin.com). The site currently has a link called "Property Search" which is just an <iframe> with a link to MLSPIN's generic property search screen (which is available only after a visitor registers at her website).

She'd like more control over the MLS search screens, specifically:

    1. Customization of fonts/layout/content of search page
    2. Customization of font/layout/content of search results page

MLSPIN provides its customers with direct access to their MLS server and database for $100/month. She's willing to pay for this service. However, I don't have the expertise to tie into their Microsoft SQL database on a Windows box through PHP and OR located on a *nix box.

Ideally, this job would be an Addon of OR that uses a customized version of the existing OR search page, and then does a SELECT on the MLSPIN database, rather than the OR database, to locate results. The result page would also use a customized version of the OR search results template.

If anyone is interested in this work, please contact me. The owner would like a price quote and time estimate for this job. She would also like to have the work started as soon as possible.

    Thanks!
    Anna Marie

    Hi Anne Marie,

I'm reading this kinda late. Did you ever find somebody to do this work for you? Otherwise, I'm available. I've got a lot of experience with MSSQL as well as MYSQL.

I've just finished incorporating something similar for another client at homesandloansmag.com , where the client wanted to add all the listings from homes.com to which he subscribed AFTER his preferred listings.

In order to give you a firm estimate, I would need to have a look at the
databases involved and /or the web interface through which this data is made available.

Call me at 386 527 2781 or email me if that's more convenient.

    Regards,
    Serge d'Adesky
