Default Problems with captcha on 2.4.0

captcha images are not showing in the contact agent form.

tried to access it directly through: http://localhost/mz/include/class/ca...tcha_image.php

    and get following warning:

Warning: imagettfbbox() [function.imagettfbbox]: Could not find/open font in /var/www/mz/include/class/captcha/captcha_image.php on line 60
    Error in imagettfbbox function

the monofont.ttf file does exist and I put 777 permissions on it...

    what could it be?

The file exists in the zip file. Make sure it was uploaded.

I have changed the line 28 to have the full path and it solved the problem. Please consider this for the future release.
    Thank you!

Line 28 of what file? I have it installed on a active site but it does not work.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the quick reply! I found my problem was that I forgot to set site config. - Notify - to use image verification! It works OK!

    New Install 2.4 - OwnersAreSelling.com/osn

I still get a red 'X' instead of the captcha picture in my contact forms.

I have changed the path on line 28 of captcha_image.php to a full path
I have reset the chmod setting for monofont.ttf to 777
I am using GD2 settings with no other problems

I have rechecked everything twice - settings/path etc...

I have also accessed the captcha page via my browser (IE) and received this error code

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagettfbbox() in /home/owners14/public_html/osn/include/class/captcha/captcha_image.php on line 60

    Call to undefined function: imagettfbbox()
Your server is not properly configured. Either free type support is not installed or it was not installed correctly. I've seen cases where phpinfo will show free type support is enabled but, it was not installed right on the server so it does not work.
