    I have just been looking at the mail list mod you have written. I am trying to change it so it will send html or text emails.... I did notice a common spelling mistake in one of the files...

    In the mailing_list.php

    $lang['list_doubled_email'] = " becouse it is allready in our system.";
    $lang['list_site_email'] = " becouse it is not your email.";
    $lang['list_fake_email'] = " Becouse Its An Obvious Fake.";
    becouse... should be because

    Thank you OR for the mailing list mod. It works for me but I would like to fix somethings if possible.

    1. When an email gets sent to the subscribe it says at the top: sitename@hostingcompany.com. I think I have an idea how to change that something with HTTP but I am not sure where and which .php file to change. I would greatly appreciate the info.

    2. The admin receives also an email from the suscriber. It also has the hosting name on it. I would greatly appreciate how to change that so they both read.

    FROM: Newletter@sitename.com

    3. I found a little error in list_public.php (around line 106)

    $email."\nDelete? $config[baseurl]list_public.php?

    should be: (forgot the slash)

    $email."\nDelete? $config[baseurl]/list_public.php?

    Thanks again.

    :lol:

    The mailing list is not fully language file setup
    The text etc you are referring to can be found in list_public.php
    info used in the header and intro is at line 2 to 25 inclusive
    info included in the email is at line 106 to 109 inclusive

    The mailinglist site name info is obtained by useing $config[sitetitle] to collect the site title used in the common file.

    Thanx for the error report i am sure other will appreciate the fix.
    As Allready stated this mod is no longer being developed however that is not to stop others from posting fixes here.

    Sometime between last xmas and next xmas is at the moment my best guess.

    note: I have not said anything about a release only that this mod will no longer be updated. As a simple mod if you look through it it is easy to modify to suit your needs.
    As for html mail it was set up for html mail but people had problems so it was commented and removed as required.

    Just a question about the "admin/module_admin/list_admin.php" file. By having this file here it seems very easy for somebody to logon and use the maillist .... or am I doing something wrong????

    When I log onto http://www.mywebsite/directory/admin...list_admin.php I get the mail list admin page, no password etc ...... what have I not done, or what can I do to make it more secure :?

    Many thanks

    without seeing the top of the page code i cant tell you for sure.

    The page should have within the first 4 lines
    Code:
    logincheck(admin);
    (i think i have that spelt right check other admin files)
