Default Quick check before I get in over my head

When I originally setup this (http://www.pwpre.com) website it was done in a subdirectory /open-realty250 because they already had a very old version running (very heavily modified, and badly as well). I'm wondering if it would be a major job to move it to the /public_html directory? I'd hate to start something and then have a lot of unnecessary downtime. Reason I'm thinking of moving it is I'm afraid I may be losing any SEO potential. As it is I have an index.html file redirect from the public_html folder to the /open-realty250 folder.

Will it make any difference to move the site up to the public_html folder and will it require a lot of configuration or am I just making a lot of unnecessary work for myself? Thanks all.

Its not a very big job, 10 min about.

    This stay in the docs:
Update Path and URL information only - This option should be used when you have moved your open-realty install to a new directory.

Thanks. I'll make the move early in the a.m. before most people get up. Then if I mess up I'll hopefully have time to fix it.

There is nothing to mess up, just move all files to the public_html, then upload the install folder from the OR version you run, and run the install, select

Update Path and URL information only

and everything will be running fine!

Make sure you backup *everything* (all files and the OR database) before upgrading.

Thanks for the reminder Sandking. Just finished backing everything up this morning.
