That was just greeting, I don't see anything bad in it. This is not religious site, but I can, and I will say: Happy new year, Merry Christmas, Bajram Serif Mubarek Olsun, etc if that will make that day happier for at least one OR member.
Interesting that when I've posted Merry Christmas posts almost every year nobody has complained about religion then. Seriously can't people just get a life instead of complaining about stupid things?
So its either an all or nothing thing. Personally, if somebody wants to post Happy *WHATEVERFRIGGINHOLIDY* regardless of religion, race, creed, color, sex, etc, etc.... then go for it! This issue is done and not open for discussion, comments, complaints, arguements etc regarding this will be deleted and the user banned. I seriously can't believe that people can't just grow up, realize you and your beliefs are not the only ones in the world and just get along with each other.
If the other moderators disagree with me then they will be able to supersede me if needed and disallow ALL holiday posts.
Happy Festivus!
I agree Mick. I see nothing wrong with people posting holiday wishes. Whether they be religious or national holidays. There were never any complaints about Happy Easter, Merry Christmas, or Happy 4th of July or anything else that has been posted over the years.
