    Lightbulb How to add Text Editor in add listinf forms

    Hi,I have a textarea in add listing forms to get description ,But now i need a editor there itself to make text bold underline etc in that text area.Can any one guide me?

    If you are using Firefox, you can install the Xinha add-on, and any textarea field can use it.

    Otherwise, doing this requires a core file hack. I believe there is one posted in the sandbox forum.

    I recommend against virtually any use of the editors. They have a mind of their own.

    It is very easy to add your own bold text for instance by putting it between two tags <strong>like this</strong>. Underline is a bit harder, but it's a bad idea to underline anything that isn't a link anyway (generally)

    You could easily set up a style like this:

    .Underline {
    text-decoration: underline;
    }

    And then add

    <span class="Underline">Underline this text</span> to your description.

    Once you have a few of these set up it could be a breeze, and you would be in full control. For instance maybe all your descriptions start with bold red underlined text? (Yummy!) Just do this:

    .YuckText {
    color: red;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: underline;
    }

    and <span class="YuckText">Start of description</span>
