Cool Dummie question on adding field

I tried adding a field in the listing editor and it does show on the search page - but it never pulls any data to populate the drop down? I following the instructions. Is there anywhere else I need to configure it to show up on the search page or am I missing a step? Its the MLS foreclosure field with values of "Y" or "N"

    We have the IDX add-on.

Not sure its me being stupid or what? Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks TJ

Make sure you've mapped your import software to import that MLS field to that Open-Realty field. You should submit a support ticket with the maker of your IDX Import add-on as commercial add-ons are not supported on the forums.

We are hosted customers with OR. We emailed you 2 weeks ago and you help helped us with the OR 2.5.8 upgrade.

The LM_MST_BNKCRP is in the Listing Template Editor and the field does show in the Search page, albeit without any data populated (empty dropdown) so users can not select anything.

We emailed Transparent IDX Add-on support but I am nore sure that is even necessary because the field is in the Listing Template Editor.

We been trying to get this field to populate forever and its very frustrating in trying to figure out why it doesnt when its as simple as going into the Listing Template Editor of OR.

Thanks again with all the help

Check the search setup for your field in the listing form editor:

    http://docs.google.com/View?id=dhk2c..._Editor_978869

if you have the field set as a search type of "Individual values" then those search elements are built based on the values in the field elements list. If you don't have elements in there then the search field will be blank with this type of search field.

Thanks for taking the time to help I appreciate it. Anyhow I went into the listing editor - see below image is what I have setup in the listing editor.

The drop is there - but when I click submit to do a search I get the following error:

Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/host/public_html/listings/include/search.inc.php on line 1718

    thanks TJ

If you're running Open-Realty 2.5.8 then that error is not related to that field. It would be related to a text search field. We really can't be of much help without a link to your site so we can see what's going on in person.

Edit your MLS# listing field and show me how you have the search setup configured for that field I think that's where your problem is at.
