    Default hr tag doesn't work on welcome page

    Hi,

    I'm new to OR, so it's a little confusing for me to find <hr> tags don't work on frontpage. <strong> is good, so what's the reason for some tags don't show properly? I have disabled the tag stripping.

    Only thing I can guess is that you have some CSS on the page/site that is defining the hr tag in some way that it doesn't appear. Such as hidden or the same color as the background etc. If this is a default open-realty template then try another template and see if it works on that one, if not, let me know which template because the one I just tried appears just fine.

    I based my template upon city_lights from OR. The hr tag I used was <hr align=left width=75% size=5 color=#B7CB72>. The color was purposely set different than city_lights base colors. The website is http://www.lindvigrealty.com just in case you need to see it firsthand. For now I will try it on another template as you suggested. Thanks.

    Okay, every built-in templates displayed the hr tag correctly except for lazuli and city_lights. I wonder if you could help point out where I should start checking for the template's error?

    For starters, your html is badly formed and will not validate. A CSS file will also override inline settings.
    Code:
    <hr align="left" width="75%" size="5" style="background-color: #B7CB72;">
    If that still does not show up, examine the template's CSS file and look for where the hr tag is being defined and either remove or change it.

    Thanks for the tip, sandking. Apparently I just paste the code somewhere from the net and it immediately worked on Joomla, so I take it without checking the syntax further.

    The size parameter though, doesn't work. It rendered only as a thin line no matter what size I defined. In the meantime, I'm reading every css file there is under the template folder.
