Default New installation - Function eregi() is deprecated in error

    Hi

This is a new installtion and I was using it as OR only and not with Joomla / CMS.

This is a new site so I want to make sure it is going to work fully before I continue.

When in the admin area clicking on user manager I get the following error:

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in /home/ineed2ge/public_html/192orlandovillas.com/openrealty/include/misc.inc.php on line 376

How do I go about fixing?

    Cheers

P.S It also happens in listing editor

Open-Realty is not presently compatible with PHP v5.3.

You can either switch to PHP v5.2.x or suppress PHP warning messages. Suppressing warnings does not necessarily mean that other problems are not present.

    Hi

How do I switch to 5.2? Do I need to ask my web hosting company?

They must automatically upgrade it when a new version comes out then because errors just suddenly appeared on my other site, I was going to redo it anyway but starting to understand a bit more now.

    Yes, and probably so.

fixed. I got my hosting company to change my php to 5.2 all of the errors have disappeared from my other site now too I have been trying to figure out these errors for months.

I think I might give up on using cms realty as there is no support. Is it easy to integrate it with a joomla based site as in the layout and the look of it etc?

I believe they offer paid support, you might try that.

I recommend always running Open-Realty by itself, as that is how it is intended to be used, and also what we support here.

I think this is what I am going to do.

I did pay for "extra support" on cms realty but it was the same as "normal" support so I cancelled my payments, plus having purchased products from him and never getting them fixed I wont be paying out anymore to him...

I think I need to learn a bit more about it, I still want to use Joomla for the content part of the site as it is much easier. The main issue I am having is finding soomeone reliable that has a contact form and some sort of paypal addon for payments too.
