Default Fresh Install Problem Open Reaty 3.0

    Hi All

Just installed the New Open-Realty 3.0.
All went very well. Loged into admin clicked on Site config and found that my server had MAGIC QUOTES on

so I added this to the .htaccess code.

    Code:
##.htaccess SETTINGS TO TURN OFF MAGIC QUOTES
    ## I HATE MAGIC QUOTES PROBLEMS
    php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
Went back to admin and went back to Site config and the page is trying to load but it just keeps
flashing. You can see the links at the top of the Site config but nothing at the bottom.

when I do click a link for the Site config like "listings" the page pops up
to this "admin/ajax.php?action=configure_listings" off the page and its plain white with no template.

Have you checked that magic quotes is actually off with phpinfo()?

Sometimes you can't actually disable that stuff with .htaccess, it depends on the host.

    Amen to that!

    Hi sandking
I did that just now with the phpinfo() and yes it is off.

The problem was with the Browser Fire Fox 3.0.19

I turned to IE 8 and the admin site config now works fine now. I did this with a tool in FF that makes it IE. Also I did it with the normal IE and it works too.

    Hope this helps, thanks sandking.

For the Administration area, Chrome, IE and FF versions that go back about a year or so were tested pretty thoroughly for jQuery/javascript compatibility, Safari was tested to a limited extent. Your FF error console probably had a bunch of javascript errors in it.

    IE6 is definitely out.
