    Question Template help

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I want to use my own search form and then display the results from Open Realty into an existing website (same domain and hosting server). I am also trying to see how you edit the templates so I can move logo positions and replace logo's etc.

    Hope someone can help....

You cannot really do that, what you should do is convert your existing site's template into an OR template and replace your old site with OR. If you are experienced with HTML it's not difficult at all.

You can definitely have your own custom search form on your existing web site that creates a search result in your OR site, but the results are going to display in your OR site and not in your existing web site.

You could use an HTML frame or iframe and frame your OR site inside your existing web site but the search engine bots won't index the stuff in a frame so you may not want to do that. If you do it that way, you will want to use OR's CMS integration template as it does not contain much in the way of design elements.

Each page in OR has an XHTML template file, simply edit the ones you need to change. 'main.html' contains the header/footer and navigation elements that are displayed on every page.

Many thanks for the advice, so my choices are:

Build the new site around OR but make it look like my original site or use iframes to pull in bits from OR but then I lose the SEO functionality. I noticed in the admin under site config that you can select cms_integration under the template option for site and admin, when I selected this option all the menu's disappeared, is this an option when rebuilding my site?

The CMS integration template strips out all that stuff with the idea you will be framing or building your own navigation system and etc. You could definitely build around that template, but personally, I would just take the Lazuli template and replace the design content with your own, it will be easier to for you to follow-along that way.
