    Default Japanese and English site

    Hello

    I am using OR 2.5.8.
A client requested a bilingual OR site with English and Japanese.

I have been researching on this subject but I'm not getting anywhere.

    1. Is there anyone who would like to create such a version? I will pay for that service.
    2. Maybe someone knows about an exisiting version in Japanese? (with Jpaanese characters, please)
    3. How do multilanguages work in terms of the DB? Is every listing input twice?

    Thanks very much in advance

You can use U.M.P. for O-R v.2.5.8 - but you will not be able to upgrade O-R once U.M.P. is a dead PATCH.

Open-Realty is not multilingual. So you will definitely get anywhere.

You should post at the Work Forum. Not here.

As far as I know, there is none.
If you wish to help us to have Japanese as a new language at Open-Realty, feel free to email me at ebmarques AT gmail DOT com and we will discuss details.

Try U.M.P. to see how it works - listings are inserted only once.

When will UMP be a dead patch? What does it mean, and if I just upgraded to OR3, can I still use it?

    Thanks!

Not when "will". It WAS. You missed this post (from Jun,18/2010):

UMP is a dead patch. It can only be used with O-R v.2.5.8. It will NOT work with O-R v.3.x

There will be no "new UMP". Open-Realty IS NOT multilingual.
