Question making the mobile phone field unique

For Agents and Members, I need to make the mobile phone field unique, just like the way a username field is unique. It is critical that no two users on my system share a mobile number.

What is the best way to achieve this?

Also, is there a way to put an input mask on this field or something like that, to ensure that the mobile number is formatted in a certain way? What is the best way to achieve this?

There is not an existing feature in OR that will enforce custom field contents being unique. You could use an add-on + javascript to enforce this.

For the input mask, you could add some custom javascript to the template.
