    Default Template issue please help!!!

Hi I am a first time website creator and I have got my domain, and my hosting site, and am using open-realty to design my site, the version I am using is Version 2.5.8, I have chosen a them but I do not know how to edit the heading of the theme so that it has my real estate name and slogan - all it shows me is Tester for sale by owner.

Please help!!! I am not sure what to do to get this to say what I want it to say.

    Thanks

Please be aware that Open-Realty 2.x contains known security vulnerabilities. You should be using the latest 3.x release of Open-Realty, or you run the risk of having your site hacked.

    Hi alamic,

First thing you need to do is apply for the current version , FREE Edition or Pro edition... as of today it is 3.0.12

That then gives you a license key via email once the order is processed.

download the zip file into a new folder on your Pc.
    Unpack it

use flashftp or similar to upload the files into the public_html folder of your host provider.

then open browser once its finished and goto http://yourdomian/install/

if you have not already setup a mysql database on that server open another tab or windows and create it , create user and password, associate that user wit the database and set prvileges.

most likely your host provider has cpanel and or myphpadmin for you to use to do all this.

now go back to the browser window with the install welcome page...

follow the instructions and enter the database details etc.

Note: if you get a message "magic_quotes_gpc" is on please turn off and no button to continue.... the temp workaround is to change the url ending in step=x to the next increment.. i.e. step 3

this skips the magic_quotes_gpc check for now.

once all done and you use the default logon you get asked for the license copy and paste it in.

check out the template section of the new v3.x docs for customising the header etc..

    http://open-realty.org/docs/release/...68388900719583

that should get you up and running quickly
