Default navigating to web url for pages in my install..dead links?

Hi, after install, when I go to Page Editor in the admin section it shows four installed default pages. Unfrotunately when I click on the "Permanent Link"s' at the bottom of each pages edit page, the browser says

    File not found:
Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

Any ideas what could be the problem there?

    Thanks

I have no such .htaccess-or file in my default install
My Search Engine Friendly URLS are turned off (Set to STD)

At all threads you create, please always tell us the exactly O-R version you are running.

Please post a link so we can see it.
    The Page Status is "Live"?
Please confirm the link you have is something like:
    Code:
    Link to this Page: http://YOURBASEURL/index.php?action=page_display&PageID=#
Since the release of O-R v.3.0 there is no ".htaccess-or" file. But you shall have a ".htaccess" file, independent of any setting.

    Hi Eduardo,
    I am using Version 3.1.6

    The page status is live.

While the project folder will be at the root of a domain name once I have redirected it its not currently at the root of my hosting. Could that be it?

If thats the problem, is there anything I need to know about unistalling OR so I can attempt another clean install?

    Thanks very much

Links are not going to work correctly as long as you are using an APACHE mod_user directory alias, i.e. /~deepwate/

Once you are using an actual domain or IP, your links will work fine.
