    Hello again!

Just thought of a backup for OR from the Admin section.
I know with the power of MySQL, making a DB dump is easy.
It would be nice to beable to create a dump of all the tables.
Another thing would be to be able to upload the dump to an FTP
    for offsite backup.
Maybe have the dump file emailed to the admin.
Or beable just to download the dump from the site to save where ever.

One last thing, a cron job to do all this would be cool too!!!

This is a wish list right??? lol..
    Take care, great developing!!!

in addition to the database (would easily be done via phpmyadmin or via command line using mysql and a cron job)

you will also want to back up all the images in your listings and user photo directories otherwise you may restore a database but then have to go through and delete every reference to the images you forgot to backup.. which would really really suck...

Till there's an option or Mod in OR to do this all for you.... almost every major control panel included with most hosting services has a site backup option that you can use to do a full site backup

    Hi

    May be this will help.

    http://www.t-77.com/

t-77.DbBackup is a PHP script that allows you to create a backup of
your MySQL database. This backup is compressed with Zlib and sent to you by email.

    done via email cool

Make sure you keep your logs and stats tables (if any) pruned-up on a regular basis. These tables can get quite large and cause your "backup email" to become too large to be accepted by the client's incoming mail server.
