We're working with a solution that is being developed with OR in mind.

You can see it here .... http://www.renters.it/index.php?acti...ew&listingID=1 ... just click availability.

I came, I saw .... I wasn't really sure what was going on!

John Ferro has a REALLY nice solution, no doubt.

Unfortunately, I just can't rely on a remotely hosted calendar stored and retrieved from someone else's database server.

I, too , would love to have an OR based availability calendar for rentals. Anybody enterprising out there?

I am succumbing to many requests.......

The calendar software is undergoing a re-write that includes a full backend database re-write. When that is complete (estimated time.......4 weeks) I plan to release a version that can be hosted on your own server. I am not a business man, so I don't know how to control licensing etc... It won't be free and you will not be permitted to sell or distribute it or modify and distribute etc..... It won't be expensive either. If someone wants to offer advice off-line , please email me!

    Thankx!

The jAC Rental Availability Calendar has been re-written and re-released.

You can see what it does at this link:
    http://www.vacationrentalworkshop.com/or211

You can download the addon for OR 2.1.xx here at the bottom of the page. Please make sure you read the README on the same page. Browse that site to see what jAC can do.
    http://vacationrentalworkshop.com/fs...istings_2.html

The cost is free for up to 30 calendars.

If you want to download and run the calendar server on your own system then the cost is negotiable. I suggest you try the hosted version and make sure it does what you need first. Significant improvements in the latest version include language customization.

    Post Re: Availability calendar

    Hey Guys:
The jAc Calendar is the best for OR 1.1.x or 2.x. The integration is very fast and simple.
My site is in Spanish and use jAC Calendar :
    Look at :
    http://www.webpropiedades.cl

Thanks to John for this addon.

    Carlos

Question Re: Availability calendar - ANOTHER OPTION TO DEVELOP

Is anybody able to help me in regard of the above. I am using OR 1.5 and I am trying to develop another simple way of reservation dates. Idea is from listingview to click on the button (if the property is available for reservation)(for this see:http://support.open-realty.org/showthread.php?t=4609) and in the the new page (a form page) the field (data_available) to be pulled from sql. The other date (moving out) to be selected by a drop down menu and than the all data to be e mailed.
Can you help to develop PLEASE

The jAC availability calendar can be integrated to OR 1.5. Here is example site

    http://vacationrentalworkshop.com/or1/

Look over the readme file for OR1 here:
    http://vacationrentalworkshop.com/fs...readme_OR1.htm

Note: jAC has been re-written and the readme is still not updated, but you can get the idea. Don;t try to download or install for OR1.5, I will need to email you the latest files.

Key points: The data is not in your OR database. It is on the jAC calendar server. The calendar server is hosted on my server if you want a free solution for 30 calendars. To install the calendar server on your own host there is a cost involved. You can email me if you have more questions.

However, I am out of town until MONDAY... Happy New Year.
