    Default Horizontal Listing Problem - Just can't figure it out!

    {featured_listings_horizontal} does not seem to work inside an OR page. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

    I just did a standard install, nothing fancy, no customization or anything, I switched the default home page from showing vertical listings to horizontal listings, and things just went wacko.

    Welcome page template starts like this:

    <table style="WIDTH: 100%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" border="0">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td>
    {featured_listings_horizontal}
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <h3>Features:</h3>
    ... blah blah, the rest of the page! Haven't changed it from default.

    I have # of featured listings to display set at 6

    When you view the home page: http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boat...sale/index.php

    this is the code that is returned, which shows half horizontal and half vertical, plus adds 2 sets of {featured_listing_box}{/featured_listing_box} to the viewable page, looks like this:

    <table class="featured_listings">

    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=4 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_4_111.jpg" height="75" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>Grady White 268</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>

    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=7 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_7_101.jpg" height="66" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>SC Cruiser</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>

    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=6 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_6_101.jpg" height="66" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>Scarab III</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>

    <tr>
    {featured_listing_block}
    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=5 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_5_101.jpg" height="66" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>Sundancer</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>
    {/featured_listing_block}

    <tr>
    {featured_listing_block}
    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=2 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_2_101.jpg" height="66" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>The King of Hearts</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>
    {/featured_listing_block}

    <tr>

    <td>
    <a href="index.php?action=listingview&amp;listingID=3 ">

    <img src="http://www.onlineboatsstore.com/boats_for_sale/images/listing_photos/thumb_3_101.jpg" height="66" width="100" alt="Click to learn more..." />
    <br />

    <strong>Silverton 34 Convertible</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>

    </tr>
    </table>

    It's as if it is only doing the first pass correctly, and even then, it's skipping the <TR> tage. Can anyone tell me why, or if I've done something. As I said this is the only change I've made. My featured_listing_horizontal.html is this (This is the default I didn't change it!):

    <table class="featured_listings">
    {featured_listing_block_row repeat="3"}
    <tr>
    {featured_listing_block}
    <td>
    <a href="{featured_url}">
    {featured_img_block}
    <img src="{featured_thumb_src}" height="{featured_thumb_height}" width="{featured_thumb_width}" alt="{lang_click_to_learn_more}" />
    <br />
    {/featured_img_block}
    <strong>{listing_title}</strong></a>
    <br /><br />
    </td>
    {/featured_listing_block}

    {/featured_listing_block_row}
    </tr>
    </table>

    Any input is welcome!
    Thanks,
    Corey

    Change the template to teh following.

    Code:

    	{featured_listing_block_row repeat="3"}
    <tr>
    	{featured_listing_block}
    		<td>
    			<a href="{featured_url}">
    			{featured_img_block}
    <img src="{featured_thumb_src}" height="{featured_thumb_height}" width="{featured_thumb_width}" alt="{lang_click_to_learn_more}" />
    			<br />
    			{/featured_img_block}
    			<strong>{listing_title}</strong></a>
    			<br /><br />

    I already tried that, and several other changes, but nothing makes it work. There has to be a bug in the programming that creates the horizontal listing, but I can't find it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    I have this fixed now in SVN. You can either upgrade to a development release if you are brave or you can try replacing just the core.inc.php file and the listing.inc.php file in your install with the ones from SVN to get the fixes.. Keep backups of the old files, though incase there are any compatability issues.

    could you send me those updated files? I'm not familiar with SVN, and would like to try it out.

    Hey greengiant, I think there's a bigger oops in this fix. Have you put it on a working site, and viewed any of the detail pages?

    For me, when I use the new listing, and core files, none of the detail data is related to the top_, right_ or any area's. Seems like it messed up. If I roll it back, they work again.

    Sorry dude, didn't mean to make things tougher.
